Exciting Year 2009!!

Dear all,

It is my pleasure to announce that W138 shall have a quarterly award system! As many of us have been faithful contributors in the cg as well as in the kingdom of God, I have decided to reward those of us who fall in any of the following categories on a quarterly basis:

1. The Salt & Light
- the one who is shining brightly in the marketplace (family, school or work), bringing glory to God.

2. The Consistent
- the one who has proven to be consistent in his/her ways, always remaining trustworthy, faithful and committed; excellent character!

3. The Bible Champion
- the name says it all... the one who is ahead of the rest in bible-reading!

4. The Prayer Warrior
- the one who prays the most, especially in prayer meetings!

5. The Soul-Winner
- the one who wins souls and has a heart for the people!

6. The Special One
- the special one with an outstanding trait is a surprise to be revealed every quarter!

The results for the first quarter shall be out by end-March or beginning of April, so you still have time!

And what's the reward for the above winners every quarter? Well.. they shall be entitled to a FREE MEAL by all non-award-winning members of W138!! Do note that we will have a meal together every quarter. Now, please do not be flustered, my dear friends (if you are worried that you will be the person treating...), for it is a year of giving and receiving, of sowing and reaping, of appreciating & edifiying, and for those who are the beneficiaries of this new system, you deserve it! Hope that everyone of you will win at least one of the awards this year! Let's do it!

To be fair, I will not be in any of the above categories, but I will join you in the giving! The overall cost for the meal will be shared amongst all members who are treating. So payment is not based on your own meal, but divided by no. of members treating. The ratio of treating by the paying working adult to paying student will be 7:3, in other words, the paying working adults will bear 70% of the overall cost, while the paying students will bear 30%. Also, in view of the financial situation and building fund season, to ensure that everyone can afford the meals, the budget for each person's meal is max. $12 (including service charge & GST) and anything above this will be absorbed by him/her. This applies to everyone, whether treating or not. I do not want to burden the ones paying since we're doing this 4 times this year.. But not to worry, there's a wide selction of places with good food and reasonable prices. :)

Thank you so much for your love and well done for a wonderful year 2008. Let us all stand together as we make year 2009 the BEST year yet for everyone of us! May God's PURPOSE for each of us and W138 this year be FULFILLED! :)
